The interior design of Xiangyuehuating draws inspiration from the regional style of Jiading District in Shanghai. It focuses on incorporating health care functions and utilizes natural resources to create a harmonious interior space. The choice of materials, shapes, and colors is carefully curated to promote a sense of well-being and tranquility.
To counteract the cold feeling often associated with medical spaces, BT Decoration employs wood veneer and micro-cement to create a warm, comfortable, and natural experience. These materials, along with the use of organic curves, contribute to a space that feels pure, soft, and inviting. The design also takes into consideration the need for relaxation and healing, ensuring that all visitors feel at ease.
Spanning approximately 6,200 square meters, Xiangyuehuating is located in Huating Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. It encompasses various areas, including health rooms, a member department, a nutrition restaurant, medical beauty and spa spaces, and family doctor facilities. Each space is thoughtfully designed to cater to the specific needs of guests, creating a holistic and immersive experience.
The realization of the Xiangyuehuating project involves a range of design processes, including interior graphic design, interior space renderings, interior construction drawing design, and construction. These elements work together to bring the vision to life and ensure the seamless integration of form and function.
BT Decoration embarked on the Xiangyuehuating project in May 2019 in Shanghai, China, with an expected completion date of October 2023. Throughout the design process, the team conducted extensive research to fully understand the local landscape culture and create a rural resort hotel that seamlessly blends with its surroundings. By incorporating natural elements and multi-level spaces, Xiangyuehuating offers a unique and immersive experience for guests.
The design of Xiangyuehuating has not been without its challenges. The layout of the hotel rooms, inspired by the traditional Jiangnan Chinese settlement cluster mode, required careful consideration to ensure a clear and functional layout. The introduction of natural landscapes into the garden and the creation of multi-level spaces added complexity to the design process. However, these challenges were overcome, resulting in a space that seamlessly interacts with the interior and offers a truly immersive experience.
Bluetown Shanghai Xiangyuehuating Hotel is a testament to the harmony between heaven and man and the five elements. By embracing the local landscape culture and incorporating the changing seasons of nature, this design creates a recuperating environment for landscape health preservation. Each space is infused with theme colors and corresponding elements, creating memorable and resonant experiences for guests.
BT Decoration's Xiangyuehuating project was recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This prestigious award celebrates designs that exemplify resourcefulness, technical skill, and a commitment to improving quality of life. Xiangyuehuating's unique blend of health and design truly makes it a standout in the industry.
